1. Trust in God’s Promises
Just like Joshua and Caleb, we must believe in God’s promises even when circumstances seem difficult. When challenges arise, instead of doubting, we should trust God’s plan.
Example: If God has placed a calling on your life, trust Him to provide what you need. Don’t let fear stop you from stepping forward in faith.
2. Stand Firm Against Fear
The ten spies spread fear, but Joshua and Caleb stood firm. When people around us spread negativity, we should hold onto faith and speak truth.
Example: When others say something is impossible, remind yourself of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
3. Obedience Brings Blessing
Caleb and Joshua obeyed God, and they received the blessing of entering the Promised Land. Obedience to God brings blessings in our lives.
Example: If God is leading you in a certain direction, even if it seems uncertain, obey Him. His way is always best.
4. Avoid Complaining and Rebellion
The Israelites complained against God and faced severe consequences. We should guard our hearts against complaining and choose gratitude instead.
Example: Instead of complaining about difficulties, pray and ask God for wisdom and strength.
5. Have a “Different Spirit”
Caleb had a different spirit—one that fully followed God. We should strive to have the same heart of faith, courage, and obedience.
Example: When facing trials, instead of reacting with fear, respond with prayer and trust in God’s power.
