1. People May Fear God’s Work in Your Life
Just as Balak feared Israel, people may see God’s hand in your life and not understand it. Some may even oppose you because of what God is doing through you. But remember, if God is for you, no one can stand against you (Romans 8:31).
When you follow God, there may be people who try to stop you, criticize you, or even work against you. But just as God protected Israel, He will protect you.
2. Fear Leads to Wrong Decisions
Balak’s fear blinded him. Instead of seeking peace with Israel or trusting God, he tried to fight against God’s plan. His fear led him to make foolish choices.
Fear can cause us to make bad decisions too. When we are afraid, we might turn to the wrong solutions instead of trusting God. Instead of acting out of fear, we should pray and seek God’s guidance.
3. No One Can Curse What God Has Blessed
Balak thought that a curse could stop Israel. But God had already blessed Israel, and nothing could change that.
As Christians, we are also blessed by God. No one can take away the blessings that God has given us. When we are in Christ, we are secure in God’s protection and promises.
4. Trust in God’s Protection
The Israelites were victorious because God was with them. They did not have to fear the Moabites or any other enemy.
In the same way, we can trust God’s protection in our lives. Even when we face difficulties or enemies, we can have faith that God is with us. Psalm 91:2 says, “I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

Balak tried to use Balaam to curse Israel, but instead, God used Balaam to bless Israel (Numbers 23:11-12).
This is a reminder that God can turn evil plans into good. Even when people try to harm us, God can use those situations for our benefit. As Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
