The shaving of the Levites symbolizes complete dedication to God. As Christians, we are called to be set apart for God’s work. Romans 12:1 tells us to present our bodies as a “living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God.”
We should not hold back in our service to God. Instead, we should give Him our whole selves—our time, our talents, and our resources.
3. Outward and Inward Purity
Washing their clothes was an outward sign of purification. Today, our outward actions should reflect our inward faith. Jesus taught that it is not just what we do on the outside that matters, but what is in our hearts (Matthew 23:25-26).
