Bibles for China is on a mission to share the love of God with families in North America through a special Children’s Bible. This initiative aims to assist families who have had to leave their homes, providing them with a meaningful resource for spiritual growth.
Kurt Rovenstine, a representative from Bibles for China, explained that the ministry is collaborating with pastors across North America to distribute Mandarin translations of the Egermeier Bible Story Book. This effort targets families who have immigrated from China and still communicate in Mandarin.
“Our goal is to distribute these Bibles to ministries that reach out to the diaspora. We want to use them as an evangelistic tool for those who come to the United States and whose children still speak Mandarin. This is a way to introduce the Gospel to them,” Rovenstine said.
Building Networks for Distribution
Currently, Bibles for China is working to create networks with local pastors. They hope to have the books available for distribution by Christmas. Many of these pastors have experience as church leaders in China, which enhances their understanding of the community’s needs.
More Than Just a Children’s Bible
Although the Egermeier Bible Story Book is designed for children, it offers profound insights into biblical truths that can benefit even new adult believers. Rovenstine envisions this outreach as a way to build relationships with Chinese nationals who may lack community support.
“Many have left China for various reasons. A local church can reach out to them and provide a safe space where they can find truth,” Rovenstine added.
This initiative could also introduce Jesus to many individuals for the first time, especially children. In China, strict regulations make it challenging to share the Gospel with young audiences. However, in North America, these barriers do not exist.
Rovenstine emphasized that families could have a lasting impact by regularly reading these books together. “This is a gift we offer to you, with the hope that it will resonate in your children’s hearts,” he said.
Get Involved
Bibles for China encourages pastors and church members who minister to Mandarin-speaking communities to get in touch. Rovenstine invites interested individuals to visit their website for more information on the program and to connect directly. “We want to distribute these resources as quickly as possible,” he stated.
