Residents traversing Johnson Road in Centralia have long admired Ronald A. Moeller’s festive winter displays and striking garage murals. Now, Moeller has added a new dimension to his artistic repertoire with a collection of 30 Bible-themed paintings adorning his property. These vibrant artworks, painstakingly crafted over the years, are prominently displayed and illuminated by floodlights for nighttime viewing.
Moeller’s passion for art is deeply intertwined with his faith. A fixture at Centralia Bible Chapel, where he delivers monthly sermons and creates visual aids for church services, Moeller has been an artist since his days at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Reflecting on his journey, he fondly recalls his missionary work in Fairbanks, Alaska, and his contributions to various Bible camps and chapels across the state.
Despite personal challenges, including the loss of his wife to cancer in 2011, Moeller remains steadfast in his faith and grateful for his extensive family, which includes six children, 15 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. His professional life in accounting, spanning over six decades and culminating in a lengthy tenure at Symons Frozen Foods before retiring in 2009, underscores his dedication and work ethic.
Beyond his local contributions, Moeller has also found an outlet in the national art community through the Art Cover Exchange, where he showcases his artwork on mailed envelopes. His creative spirit and commitment to both art and community continue to shine brightly in Centralia.
Moeller’s vibrant canvases not only enrich his neighborhood but also serve as a testament to his unwavering faith and lifelong dedication to artistry and community service.
