Bishop Allan Kiuna, a prominent figure known for his pivotal role as the co-founder and senior pastor of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) in Nairobi, has passed away.
According to a family spokesperson, Bishop Kiuna breathed his last at a hospital in Nairobi, where he had been undergoing treatment. His condition had reportedly worsened earlier this week, prompting his admission.
Following the news of his passing, friends and family gathered at his residence in Runda to mourn his demise. Bishop Kiuna had been battling multiple myeloma cancer, a diagnosis he received in 2018/2019.
Multiple myeloma cancer originates from abnormal plasma cells that accumulate in the bone marrow, leading to the formation of tumors in various bones throughout the body. This condition often results in the production of abnormal proteins by the cancer cells, complicating the normal function of healthy blood cells.
Bishop Kiuna, who was married to Bishop Kathy Kiuna, his partner in ministry at JCC, was remembered by many as a dedicated individual. He publicly shared his journey with cancer in 2019, expressing gratitude for the support and faith that sustained him during his challenging battle.
The Jubilee Christian Church, founded in January 1999 by Bishop Kiuna and Reverend Kathy, stands as a testament to their vision and commitment to spiritual service.
The passing of Bishop Allan Kiuna leaves a void in the religious community he served with unwavering dedication. As tributes pour in, his legacy as a spiritual leader and visionary remains deeply ingrained in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
